MessySpoon is helping Sydneysiders nourish their whole plate this lockdown with new ‘Better Beans’

The healthy comfort food is available for online order and contactless delivery

MessySpoon, the Bondi-born health food production business with a passion for getting nourishing food into all tummies, is bringing Sydneysiders a brand new, wholesome product this lockdown: meet the Better Beans.

Made in small batches in MessySpoon’s Surry Hills production kitchen each day, these jars of goodness are available in two flavours – capsicum and garlic and roast pumpkin and chilli. Both are high in fibre, gluten and preservative free, gut friendly, vegan, and packed with plant-based proteins.

Ideal for those struggling to maintain concentration while they carry out tasks like working remotely or home schooling the kids, Better Beans contain vitamins and minerals including vitamin B, magnesium, folate, zinc, and iron, making them brilliant brain food.

The beans have been created with even the least accomplished home cooks in mind, and can be simply warmed over a medium heat and stirred occasionally for around 10 minutes until simmering.

They are the perfect complement to MessySpoon’s Good Gut Loaf (GGL), a certified gluten free, vegan, yeast free, nut free, and additive free, nutrient dense powerhouse of goodness. Incredibly versatile, the Better Beans could also be used within a burrito, paired with feta topped baked potatoes, stirred through meatballs or tofu ‘meatlessballs,’ and much more.

Lizzie Fiducia, Founder, MessySpoon said: “Many Sydneysiders are going through a difficult time at the moment with lockdown and the cooler weather. As people turn to comfort foods during these times, we wanted to do our bit by developing the Better Beans as a delicious yet healthy winter pick me up, perfect for fuelling bellies and minds.

“All of our products are made to be nutrient dense and delicious, but as an added bonus happen to be gluten free, refined sugar free and vegan, and our new Better Beans are no exception!”

The Better Beans are available for home delivery in 750ml jars and as part of MessySpoon’s new Comfort Pack. Wholesale customers who are trading takeaway meals during lockdown can also purchase them in 1kg bags. Keen to support fellow hospitality workers during a difficult time, MessySpoon is providing wholesale partners with the Better Beans at cost price.

Orders can be made via the MessySpoon website and are available for collection at its Surry Hills pop-up, and contactless delivery to a range of Sydney postcodes.
